Cooking with Maine Fish, Seaweed & Shellfish

Growing up along the southern coastline of Connecticut, I have always been a fan of seafood. Now living along the midcoast of Maine, I am able to access fresh foods from the clean northern Atlantic. In order to make sure our oceans provide us with healthy fish, sea vegetables, and shellfish for years to come, it is important to source our ocean derived foods from those harvesting in sustainable ways.

This class will feature sustainably harvested seafood and seaweed from the Atlantic ocean and infused with wild plants and locally sourced ingredients.Although the menu may change based on seasonal availability, you can expect to learn dishes like this:

  • Fish tacos on Maine grown corn tortillas
  • Maine wild food stew
  • Lobster salad w/ tarragon aioli
  • Roasted fish with spring onions and garlic scapes

Investment: $60 per person or $100 for 2

Each student will have an opportunity to work with the ingredients during the class, have recipes to take home, and plenty of food and refreshments to enjoy throughout the class.
