We see the use of herbs as a vital part of our day-to-day lives.
From mending bumps and bruises, to soothing sore throats, many common herbs can be accessed right in your lawn!
Throughout the weekend, both Camille, Eliot, and Frank will invite you to take part in a variety of classes, with a primary focus on herbs.
Our goal is to share common herbs, many of which will be identified and harvested on Three Lily Farm, and how you can utilize them for your Family Medicine Kit.
From salves, to vinegar infusions, herbs like nettle, plantain, and self heal can be incorporated into your daily regime to help create robust health.
Make the art of herbal crafting and medicine making fun for the whole family!
Involving children in the process of what keeps us nourished and thriving from the gardens to the kitchen — can be fun, educational, great for family bonding, sometimes a bit messy, but oh so enjoyable. Reviving old traditions to be passed down to future generations.
Learn techniques that allow you to create and expand your home family medicine cabinet.
About Chef Frank
Born and raised along the Connecticut shoreline, Frank Giglio began his culinary career at the age of 15, when he first stepped into a professional kitchen. With a desire to learn more and deepen his skills , he headed north to the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, VT. After completing apprenticeships in Portland, OR and Boston, Frank spent the next few years cooking his way across the country, making it as far west as Alaska, where he learned to cook wild game like wild salmon, moose, king crab, and elk.
A big advocate for wild and locally sourced ingredients, Frank teaches cooking classes and caters throughout the state of Maine and beyond. He recently became the kitchen manager for neighboring MOFGA (Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association) and a local chapter leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation. Giglio's adventurous culinary offerings have been showcased throughout the health community as Frank is the featured chef for NY Times Best-Selling Dr. Alejandro Junger’s Clean Eats cookbook.
